Hip Dysplasia is the most common hip joint disorder in the pediatric population, affecting 1-3% of all newborns. Among these, 29% of adults require primary hip replacement by the age of 60. Dysplasia is classified into two types: stable dysplasia and dysplasia associated with subluxation or dislocation. Dysplasia is more prevalent in the female population. There are several risk factors for dysplasia, including genetics, fetal position, hypermobile hip joints, and others. Abduction braces provide a conservative treatment for dysplasia. These braces limit movement in the hip joints while allowing free movement of the knees and ankles.

INDICATIONS (USE):

  • Developmental hip dysplasia
  • Congenital hip dislocation
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Joint hypermobility
  • Support in the rehabilitation process
